Sheree Smoot-Johnson, Realtor, Realtist, ERA Real Solutions Realty Company, The Diamond Group has been serving Central Ohio’s real estate needs since 2004. She holds the professional designation of Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist (CPRES), Home Equity Conversion Mortgage (HECM) Certified, Certified Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Broker Price Opinion Resource (BPOR). Her education and experience include a Bachelor of Science degree in business majoring in Marketing from The Ohio State University; a Master of Science degree majoring in Human Resources from Central Michigan University; and, 30 years in the Customer Service industry.
In December 2017, Sheree was sworn in as the 2018 President of the Columbus Realtist Association (CRA) a local Chapter of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers (NAREB). Her commitment to the CRA is shown daily as she shares her mission of “Promoting Democracy in Housing through education, empowerment and encouragement of Black Americans creating generational wealth, stability and investing in our future. This will be accomplished through Financial Literacy, Health & Wellness, Home Maintenance, Faith-Based Initiative and the Community Reinvestment Act. Since her Presidency agent, broker and allied membership has increased. Sheree has also energized CRA’s existing members as there has been an increase in board, general meeting and event participation. She was instrumental in collaborating with the Columbus Realtors to set up a meeting which birthed the Columbus Realtist Association | Columbus Realtors Task Force. Through this task force The CRA has been given a face at Columbus Realtors. The March/April 2018 Edition of In Contract magazine features 7 CRA Realtist in the article “What Being A Realtist Means To Me”. Sheree was one of four panel participants at the Columbus Realtors Affordable Housing Committee and the Columbus Realtist Association April 13, 2018 joint live forum. The topic was “How Fair Is Fair Housing?” Commemorating the 50-year anniversary of the Fair Housing Act.
What many people do not realize is that Sheree efficiently works two full time jobs – one being a Realtist, Realtor. She is quick to tell everyone that there is no such thing as a part-time Realtor. “I got into the real estate business to make a difference. I guide my clients through the process of home ownership while building generational wealth. I consistently strive to increase my knowledge and skill base to better serve my clients. Working with clients through the process of purchasing and/or selling their “home” is my top priority.” Buying or selling a home is the biggest, most important, financial transaction people experience in their lifetime. She believes that educating her clients throughout the entire real estate process. Once you decide to sell or buy your home or investment property, choosing the right real estate company and agent to represent you during this transaction is the most important decision you will make.
